Ordnung outclassed the field, particularly in the going, and led unextended throughout. Brandy Smash, favored by the mud, closed a big gap and finished fast. Kings Favorite ran in unexpectedly game fashion. Ben Howard, away badly, made up a lot of ground. Irene Lindsay was.prominent to.the-strotch iurcr and being icierfored with fell bactanu caine "agam. Satirist" was going strongly at the end. Plum Tart went very wide at the turns and finished well. Maiden failed right at the end from following the winners pace closely. Morningside, leading under restraint and easing up in the stretch, was unexpectedly brought to a mild drive at the end to stand off Caughnawaga. The latter hung on with bulldog tenacity and ran a particularly fine race in going not to his liking. Lanceman, which cannot run well in mud, was hopelessly outrun front the start. Won in a canter; second easily Yardarm spreadeagled his field, practically pulling up throughout and is probably a good class colt Red Knight, strictly a mudlark, ran a speedy and game race, but was outclassed. Monte Carlo outstayed Captain Arnold in a hard final drive. The latter, evidently short, broke slowly and made up considerable ground, but tired right at the end, after being apparently sure of third place. Scottish Blue went well, but is of moderate calibre. Wheeler B. will improve. Old Fort is big and high, but a grand looker and probably a coming good one. Scratched 32912 Maxnic, 126: 33580 Dramatist, 117. Yardarm, show, 3 to 5. Red Knight, 9 to 10. Wild Pirates speed was skillfully reserved and he made good in a brilliant stretch run. Conundrum was given a hustling and overanxious ride in an effort to beat Trump, which set a fast pace and quit in the stretch Moor finished gamely. Catechise finished strongly but can do better when track conditions suit him. Sweet Al ce was favored by the mud. Guy Park, is better than thYsace indicates.
