Kings Lady, off flying, simply played with the field and won as her rider pleased. Galba made up much ground in the final quarter and finished resolutely. Maxette appeared well beaten when turning for home, but rallied in the last eighth and finished fast. John Carney displayed early speed and bears watching. The others were never serious contenders. Jackfull swerved in the first quarter, causing Goody Two-shoes to fall. Senor and Licorice fell over Goody Twoshoes. Flash of Lightning suffered by the falling and had to be pulled up. Elsie L., easily outrun in the first half, closed up ground fast in the last eighth and coming with a rush at the end were down Burnie Bunton. The latter appeared the winner when a sixreentti out, but was unable to stall off Elsie L.s determined bid at the end. Nickey D. stood a long stretch drive with gamenass and finished resolutely. Money Muss as usual tired fast when the deciding drive came. Nellie Waddell showed well for a half mile, but she soon fell away beaten after turning for home. Little Scout won simply because Coburn clearly outfinished Ranch. Little Scout ran to his best form and stood the driving with gameness in the last eighth. Ranch lost control of Hoodwink in the last seventy-fire yards, then fumbled his whip and finished by hand riding her. Bon Mot ran nowhere near to his best form. He tired fast when the pinch came. Talpa got much the worst of the start and made up ground too rapidly down the backstretch. Overweights Little Scout, 4 pounds. Little Scont, show. 1 to 3. Hoodwink, show, 2 to 5. Felix Bard closed up fast in the last eighth, and was gradually going away at the end. John Bright ran a dull race. He was cut off by Albert Enright after making the far turn, losing at least two lengths. It is doubtful, however, if he could have beaten the winner. Louisville was badly ridden, being apparently hopelessly beaten off down the backstretch. She fini hed fast next to the inside rail down the last quarter. Albert Enright cracked badly when the pinch came. Winter ran well for about seven furlongs. Corrected weights Albert Enright, 98. Felix Bard, show, 4 to 5. John Bright, show, out.
