Lou Hazel was cut off at the start, came the long way, swerved all over the stretch and was bet. Tulare had early speed and looked like a winner at the stretch turn, but tired in the run home." St Vitus had his usual speed and his recent races helped him. Will Shelly was best, but was off badly. Ho closed ground fast in the stretch and would have won in a few more strides. Doc Mayer stopped as usual Noweta, off badly, closed fast from a bad beginning and ran a brilliant race. Fair Edna had speed but stopped. Doc Wood ran a bad race. Kiss Quick ran an extra good race, was well ridden and finished gamely. Wiedemann tired in the final strides Hilee broke slowly and refused to run when he could not get to the front. Cherished had absolutely no assistance, from her rider and ran throughout with her head loose. Saragamp ran a good race and finished well with a weak rider up. Orris was pinched on the turns and when she was making her run was interfered with by Optimo all down the stretch and was given a weak finish. Optimo ran a good race and was well ridden. Tenny Belle showed speed but tired, Yellowstone showed scant speed today.
