Maria Bolton showed plenty of speed today and her improvement was sudden. She came liko a whirlwind in the stretch and got up in the last few strides. Jake Weber was best and should have won, but ONeil was overconfident and threw the race away. Ringleaders was an honest race and he was doing his best. Hart D. closed a big gap and finished strongly after going all around hie field. Lowell showed early speed. Scratched 34254 Kinloch Park, 106 : 341753 Angea, 99. Trap-, ezist went to the front in the first eighth and Hayden saved ground at all the turns, but was driving him all of the last furlong. Pirate was best and would have won with an equal start. He was off poorly, went around his field, closed a. big gap and finished strongly. Reeves ran a good race, but faltered a bit at the end. C. F. Cook tired in the run home. Rossfame was away running and showed the most speed, but had to be shaken up to stall of Zonne at the finish. The latter came very fast in the last furlong after being outrun in the first part of the race. Justice showed improvement over his last race. Uledi quit badly and was short. Good was off all tangled up and had no chance, but got third place without trouble as Boon as Sir Gallant quit. Overweights St. Daniel, 1 pound. No show betting. FIFTH RACE 1 1-16 Miles. Filibuster caught Firing Line tiring and came away without trouble in the last quarter. Firing Line was raced to weariness ia front and weakened when it came to a drive. Prosgrave and Colonel Anderson were cutoff shortly after the start, but the formor wont all around his horses and finished strongly. Cast Iron showed early speed, but could not carry it to the end.
