Lofter was allowed to flounder badly in the early part of the race, but came fast when Otis took hold of his head. Malaise showed speed, but tired in the going. The latter ran a good race and finished stoutly. Easy Trade ran an extra good race. Goudy about went to the mark. Flora Levy disliked the mud and ran a bad race.
