Master Mariner began slowly, but went round his field, wore the leaders down in the stretch and won going away. Palmette showed a great turn of speed and hung on longer than usual. Tros ran a good race from a bad beginning and under a very weak ride. He will beat better horses presently at a longer distance. Likeness tired after she had appeared like a winner. Bab broke on the outeido, and as the field ran abreast for the first quarter she was on the outside all the way around the turn. She overhauled tho field while going up the backstretch, answered a hard ride well and had something left at the end. Found ran a good race, made a smart move at the stretch entry and finished well.
