Nellie Waddell displayed surprising speed in going none too much to her liking, but was tiring fast at the end. Semicolon finished strongly. Heroaiade had little chance from where he got off and could not extend himself with freedom when he got into his stride. Philo tired palpably when the pinch came after showing much speed. Egg Nogg finished fast and would have been second in another stride or two. Joe Buckley displayed speed, but appears to not like anything over five furlongs. Adirondack showed a little early speed. Corrected weights Vestia, 95. Won easily; second the same. Brulare ran Strangest into submission in the first six furlongre and then stood off Toahs bid in the last eighth gamely. Toah, under a well-timed ride, ran an impressive race when it is taken into consideration that he does not rnn to his best form in heavy going. Strangest showed a liking for the going and was a sharp contender for six and a half furlongs. Thurles ran at abont an even clip throughout.
