HORDES AT GKA.VBSE.VD. A number of Saratoga stables reached Gravesend Saturday night and Sunday, and the Brooklyn track is once mcvo assuming an air of business. Among the first arrivals was the stable of J. G. Follansbee, with Astarita, Daisy Green, Double Six, Keynote, Cameron and Ahumada. Roehampton, tho former star of the stable, has gone wrong beyond much hopo of recovery. At least so far as the immediate future is concerned. It is safe to say that this good racehorse has a. bowed tendon. He will not be seen with colors up again this year in all probability, and may not race again, although recovery is not impossible. Another stable that arrived at the track the first of tho week is that of George E. Smith. Tho pride of the Smith lot, Chilton, is also dono for beyond much hope. It was thought that the beneficial climate and conditions at Saratoga might improv e Chilton, but his complaining leg is still in very bad shape, as he is suffering from a bowed tendon. With good luck he may be brought to a race late this fall, but tho chances are against this hope. His owner rogarded him as one of the best, if not the best, three-year-old of the year early in the season, and thought that he had several rich stakes, at his mercy. The trouble began to develop during the Morris Park spring meeting, and has grown slowly worse since then. Gold Heels has almost entirely recovered from his injury received in the Brighton Cup race . He is taking slow work, but looks big and fat, and his owners, Messrs. McLewee and Brady, have about decided not to attempt to fit him for.an races this fall, preferring to give him a long rest, preparatory to tho campaign of next year. Major Daingorfield is looking and going well, and the same is truo of the bilanco of tho string.
