Golden Glitter gradually wore down Archie in the last sixteenth under a determined ride. The latter appeared the winner a furlong, out, but hung slightly in the closing strides. Solinus finished stoutly. Magi was pinched out of position when the barrier went up and had little chance thereafter. Trust Deed showed speed for five and a half furlongs and will bear watching. King Hammon closed up much ground in the final quarter. Judge Himes showed but little speed. Wilton displayed speed and held it for five furlongs. Won easily; second driving. MacLaren ran to his beat form, showed keen speed throughout and fenced cleverly. Wenlock outstayed Torreon in the last eighth. The latter ran a good race and is a consistent jumper. Captain Conover ceased to be a serious contender after the sixth jump. Mazos chances were spoiled at the first jump by Stamp, which jumped in front of him, almost causing the rider to fall off. Brigadier was much the best of the others but the winner held him safe all through the last sixteenth. Sidney C. Love, cut off near the last eighth, came with a splendid rnsli at the end when he got clear sailing. Money Muss, as usual, quit when the pinch came. Wainamoinen was always outrun. Rollick II. showed in improved form. Little Elkin simply could not concede the weight. Blessed Damozel as usual showed speed. David Harnm ran well for sii furlongs.
