Sarah Maxim met with early entanglement, but when she got clear sailing in the last eighth finished with a splendid rush, just getting up in time to nip Mary Glenn on the post. The latter showed much speed and ran to her best form. Naulahka finished fast, getting up in time to get third place in the last stride. Hattie Walker tired just a trifle when the pinch came. Belle Graham was well beaten when a sixteenth out. Lady Churchill was never a serious contender. Scratched 34664 Wilton, 110. Corrected weights Belle Graham, 105. Best Man ceased to be a serious contender after running well for a half mile. Preetorius ran far below his best form.
