Little Boy broke well in motion, showed the most early speed and opened up a winning gap in the first quarter but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Tancred. The latter finished gamely under the whin and had to go around the leaders at the far turn. Jim Buck came very fast on the outside in the ran home.
