He was badly messed about and shut off and interfered with a half dozen times and hopelessly pocketed, but found clear sailing.whon a furlong out . and finished like a flash. Maltster, suddenly improved and best always on this track, sustained his speed unexpectedly well. Kingraine received an over anxious ride, moved up too soon and tired right at the end, after appearing a sure winner in the stretch and should improve. The Beferee failed to stay under a hustling-ride. Satire went a fst middle half and retired. Astarita received a lucky start and at once took up the running, forcing a fast pace and driving gamely and held on unexpectedly well. Molly Brant was always prominent, displayed high class speed and stamina and was unlucky to lose, being in close quarters to the stretch. Eugenia Burch, away poorly, closed a bi? gap and finished like a whirlwind and was probably best as the race was run. Wild Thyme went well throughout. Miladi Love is improving. Gravina ran in close quarters, pinned in next to the rail for the first half. Duster and Scioto were both outrun early and closing up at the end. Lady Albercraft was away badly. Olefiant, Stampine Ground and Love Note had scant chances at the start. Scratched 34795 Roxboro, 114; 34448 Morca, 114; 34853 Ada Nay, 107. Astarita, show, 4 to 5. Molly Brant, show. 4 to 1. Merito" and Ethics raced out in front heads apart for the entire journey, except when Ethics took an apparently winning lead a furlong out, but was badly messed about and caught nappine. Redfern brought Merito up in the last few strides and won a lucky race right on the post. Bar Le Due trailed to the stretch, where he closed up very strongly under a weak ride. Benefit finished fast. Hackensack ran his race. Arcade, away badly and weakly handled, closed a big gap and requires a vigorous rider. Unterock and Colonist are reported to have worked fast trials. Faulcon-bridge was badly interfered with and is a grand looker. Scratched 34943 Illyria, 112; 34883 Witfull. 109; 34948 Salora, 1C9; 35039 Boston, 109. . Bontonniere, show, 7 to 10. Rock water trailed after the first quarter, then moved up with remarkable speed on the far turn and outstayed Slipthrift in a hard stretch drive and won going away. She is probably the best three-year-old filly of the year. Slipthrift is wonderfully improved and will hold hiB own with the best from now on. Heno prefers soft going, was outrun in the middle half and apparently beaten off on the stretch turn, bat came again and was fast wearing the leaders down at the end. Scratched 35038 Igniter, 117.
