The latter showed much speed, but is faint-hearted and quit under pressure. Canyon showed speed, but tired in the last sixteenth. Lord Touchwood ran a dull race. He finished strongly and was probably the best. Tizona appeared to have a winning chance when a furlonjj out, but tired slightly in the last twenty yards. Do Madge tired perceptibly when the pinch came. Little Duchess II. showed much speed for seven and a half f arlongs. Wild Oats was never a serious contender. Burnie Bun-ton was badly outrun in the first half, but was coming fast at the end and would have been second in a few more strides. Jane Holly tired just a shade in the last twenty yards. The latter faltered slightly in the last twenty yards. Musical Slipper was well spent when the pinch came. Adios had no chance when she got into her stride.
