The latter began slowly and closed a big gap, but swerved all over the track in tho run home and might have won had Robertson kept him straight. Barouche raced Janice into submission in the first six furlongs and came away in the last eighth under a mild drive. Janice had all the best of the start and displayed early speed, brl tired and had all she could do to stall off Khaki. The latter was outrun in the early stages, but was wearing Janice down at the end. Barouche crowded Janice against the inside fence at the eighth post and was disqualified for fouling and the race given to Janice, Khaki being placed second and Autumn Leaves third. Chanterelle got in a jam at the start, made up a lot of ground, finished strongly and was gaining on the winner in the last eighth. Belle of Bohemia tired when the pinch came. He was well ridden and had no mishaps. Eoidemic showed the most early speed, but tired after going a half. Baikal was cut off at the far turn and knocked out of it. Overweights Little Boy, 3 pounds.
