The latter moved up fast when turning for home and was undor keen pressure all through the last eighth. Serpent fin-iihed strongly. Botony was well spent when entering the last eighth. Bristol moved up fast when approaching the last jump, but when well into tho stretch was joined by Captain Conover, the two fighting it out to the wire. Dr. Nowlin made up much ground after taking the ninth jump and finished strongly. Mazo tired fast in the last eighth. Fearfnl fell heavily over tho tenth jump. MacLaren broke down after taking tho fifth jump. Harv B., in attempting to shy the second obstacle, hit the corner of the fence, throwing his jockey heavily. Captain Con-over kept bearing out on Bristol in the closing strides, causing both to finish outside of the course. Both were disqualified, Dr. Nowlin bsing placed first, Mazo second and Stamp third. Irving Mayor showed speed for seven furlongs, atar Cotton foil away beaten after running well for seven and a half furloncs Vincitor labored in the going and was never a serious contender.
