HAELEM NEXT WEEK. Harlem Park will reopen next Monday for the last time this year. The fall meeting will last only seven days, but the quality of the racing should be good, judging from the program book just issued by Secretary NathanBon. Four stakes, the Forward, Prairie State, Tecum-seh and Chicago, are to be run, and for the off days the secretary has put on handicaps worth 00 or 00. Also there will be four steeplechases, which will be the last of the local season. The Forward Stakes, seven furlongs, for two-year-olds, 0 entrance, 0 additional to start, and ,000 added, will be run on the opening day. It has seventy-one nominations, and as they include all the good ones around Chicago and the value of the race will not fall below ,000, a good field may be expected. On Tuesday the principal event will be a handi- --cap for three-year-olds and upward, at a mile and a furlong, and worth 00. This is sure to bring out some good horses. Wednesday will bring the Prairie State Selling Stakes, at-a.mile-and a. Jnrlong.. This, is another, race that will be worth about ,000, and it should furnish a sharp contest. Thursdays handicap will be at one mile and fifty yards, and Fridays at one and one-eighth miles. The Tecumseh Handicap on .Saturday has sixty-three entries, and as the distance is one and three-eighths miles a good race should be witnessed. A. lot of good horses are entered, such as Aladdin, Argregor, Corrigan, Scintillant II., Lucien Appleby, Harry New, McChesney, Cambrian, Waswift and others. Monday, October 6, the last day of the meeting, the Chicago Stakes will be run. It is a mile race for three-year-olds and upward, has 109 nominations, ,000 added and will be worth more than ,500. It ought to be a fine race, as many horses of good class are entered. On the same day there will be a 00 owners handicap at a mile and twenty yards, and a five and one-half furlongs sprint for all ages. Bacing will commence at 2 p. m. daily.
