He was eased up in the last quarter and is a good one on a sloppy track. Heno, inadequately handled, was the chief contender throughout and second best. Andy Williams trailed to the stretch, where he moved up strongly. Ho was covered with mud and unrecognizable and ran a very game race, but favors a deeper track. Rock water was driving early and ran a bad race. Eva Russell, from a lucky start, forced a strong pace to the stretch where she came away strongly, was much the best and is a superior class filly. Ella Snyder finished strongly. Claude broke slowly and was plastered with mud, in spite of which he finished well. Bernard developed good, early speed and held on unexpectedly well. Tioga was away poorly, the jockey rode with his eyes closed and the filly had no chance. Hackensack made up considerable ground. Scratched 35299 War Cry, 102; 35274 Bobbinet, 99.
