Ondurdis suddenly improved and ran a corking good race. Jack oLantern, but for bearing out on tho stretch turn, would have won, and finished strongly. Ethics, under pressure throughout to dispose of this kind, is in comparatively poor form, was lucky and well up and wore Brunswick down at the end. Tho latter had led well in hand an apparently sure winner until near tho finish. Boaster finished very strongly, and was hopelessly pocketed early in the last furlong. Lady Sterling carried wide on the turn finished fast through the last quarter and ran in improved form Rappenecker did not stay well. Rossignol is in bad form. Maltster showed much early speed. Injunction, nearly left, closed a tremendous gap. Merry Acrobat and Fire Eater are both strictly mud horses. Florham Queen, lucky and well placed, made a good stretch run. Barkelmore ran well and is steadily improving. Lord Turco failed to stay at the end and was eased up in the last fifty yards.
