Springwells ran her race. The clip was too fast for her and she could not stay the pace. Chamblee showed speed, but tired. Hardings improvement was startling He showed fine speed today and was a contender all the way, shook off Pan Zagloba in the last sixteenth and was going away at the end. Lou Rey dropped out of it when going the sec-, ond time around, but came again in the run home and finished with a rush. Autolight, Dubious and the entry quit in the last half. Strathcona Belle tired after getting to the leaders, but appeared like the winner at tae turn into the homestretch. Effrontery quit when Thorpe drew his whip. Overweights Love Bird, 2 pounds. No show betting on first three.
