Belle of Lexington closed up with a rush on the level stretch and finished stoutly. Unmasked ran under a choking pull to the level stretch, where he swerved into the rail, but came on strongly and is evidently in groat form. Wealth and Himself were outrun early and were losing up strongly. Extinguisher was outclassed. Scratched 34778Cruzado3, 120; 34701 Harrow, 118; 34530 Isia, 110; 355052Huratbourne, 108; 35432 G. Grey Friar raced prominently from the start and put up a remarkably game finish and won going away. It was a high class performance at the weights. Surbiton, evidently a crackerjack, made a brilliant debut, forced the pace throughout and held on well and should improve. Acefnll appeared to lose ground while coming down the incline in the first half, but settled down to his work when on the level stretch, coming with a rush at the end. H6 is undoubtedly better than todays race shows which, however, indicates inability to handle stake weights. Fire Eater ran in improved form. Bine Ribbon ran poorly. Invincible was overweighted and was always outrun. Scratchpd 3543420araman, 109; 350682Lord of the Yale, 109. Grey Friar, show, 3 to 5. Surbiton, show, 8 to 5. Lady Sterling had clear sailing from a lucky start and, showing plenty of early speed, drew clear of her field when straightened for the wire and finished strongly. Keynote broke so slowly as to have been nearly left, but closed a tromendous gap and was easily best. Essene was always prominent, finished out gamely and is an improved horse. Boaster closed up much ground from a poor start, finished with a rush and was unluckv to lose third place. Lord Badge developed surprising speed for six furlongs. Bar Le Due. nearly left, had a rough journey and closed a big gap in the last three furlongs. Stevedoro failed to stay. Intrusive and Fried Krupp got off badly.
