Ha showed the most early speed, but had to be hard ridden through the stretch, yet won going away. Old Mike liked the going and ran a good race, but was tiring at the end as if short and Branch was catching him at every stride. Branch caught Ethel Davis tiring from chasing the winner. The latter was easily the best of the others and secured second place without trouble. Baron Knight came fast in the stretch and finished strongly. Miss Liza was outrun for the first half, but closed a big gap and cut the comer when coming into the stretch, while the others went wide. The latter came very fast through the stretch and was overhauling the winner at every stride. Briers made up a lot of gfound, but was tiring at the end.
