Springwells showed the most early speed and was at her best. Her pull in the weights allowed her to win, but she had to be ridden to the limit to stall off the rush of Albula at the end. The latter is as game as a pebble and ran a sparkling race, but could not concede the weight to the winner. He always held the others safe. Provost finished strongly under a hard drive. Allhallowmas was taken wide into the homestretch, but came very fast in the run homo when straightened out and got up in the last twenty yards. Mariedna was outrun in the first part of the race, but finishsd stoutly. She was lame when going to the post. Scottish Blue also came very fast at the finish and caught Harold Keeling tiring. JLansdown appeared to be a dangerous contender ct the head of the stretch, but weakened badly in the run home. Eddie T. showed the most early speed, but quit, all over at the finish. McManus outclassed his company and played with the field, but had to be shaken up a little at the head of the stretch. He won going away. Both bandages on his front legs became loose during the race. Trenct the Mere was pulled up at tho start and was easily tho best of the others. Verna K. had no trouble in securing third place. Sauber fell at the fifth jump and Irkutsk at the fifteenth. The latter was very lame when going to the starting point and is a poor excuse for a jumper. Scratched 35630 Adelaide Cassingham, 125. McMrnus. show, out. Trenct the Mere, show, out. Allopathland Alfred Vargrave fought it out all through the last furlong and the former outgamed tho latter. Alfred Vargrave showed great improvement on a fast track, was under a hard drive all the way and tired in the closing strides. Hinsdale got third place in the last Btride. Won driving; second the same. This was a great handicap. The field came home in a compact bunch heads and noses apart, and nobody but the judges could separate the first three at the finish. All Souls came with a great burst of speed in the stretch under a hard drive and got up in the very last stride. Little Boy and Harding fought it out to the last stride and were only beaten by a nod. The Bronze Demon ran to her best form but had to do her very best to stall off the rush of Heroics at the finish. The latter got in a mixup shortly after the start but closed a big gap in the run home, finishing very strongly. Hop Scotch ran his best race and hung on gamely. Moggs got away poorly, made up much ground and was coming strongly at tho finish. Flaneur tired in the final furlong. Hurry showed early speed but quit. Handcuff had no mishaps.
