Boyal Athlete was well away in a tangled field and assumed a safe lead in the first half, but was all out at the end. Kilimandscharo was taken in the bad going all the way and closing up strongly at the end. San Lution went well, but was very badly ridden. Cadet ran an excellent race under a bad rido. Zonne was off badly, but being taken in the good going made up ground gradually, saved all possible ground on the turns and just got up in time. Kiss Quick was made too much use of and tired in the closing strides. Duela came fast at the finish and would have won in another stride. The Forum was in the bad going all the way and cut off several times, ran a fast middle half and seemed to be winning when Gilmore drew his whip and let her head go. 8purs tired. Orris showed immovement over her race of Satnrday, when she quit after running a half, displayed unsuspected liking for a soft track, set a hot pace, stood a long drive and outgamed South Breeze at the end. South Breeze was taken into the heaviest going in the last three-eighthsand Louden placed himself where he could not use his whip. She should have won. Wall went to the mark.
