Katherine R. was weakening at the finish and just managed to save second place. Santa Teresa came very strongly in the stretch run and was catching the leaders at every stride. Blue Ridge tired in the run home from chasing the leaders. Grand Marais could not raise a good gallop in the goinir. Lombre tired and quit. Worthington ran consistently, hung on to the last stride and was makiDg Albula do his best. Huzzah tired from his early effort to keep pace with Albula. Hinsdale ran below his mark in this kind of going. Red Monk did not seem to be able to negotiate the sloppy going.
