Kelly waited with Brissac until in the last quarter before making his move, took command without much effort in the run home and had considerable to spare at the llnish. Meggs was under a drive all the last furlong, was well ridden and had no miehaps. Nellie Bawn was made too much use of in the first half and tired when the pinch came. So did Tatar. Mabel Winn was off well in motion, showed much early tpaad and raced Flenron and Rag Tag into submission in the first half, but cired at the end. Rag Tag hung on gamely when the pinch came. Fleuron was eased no when beaten. The weight anchored Albula. He was off tangled up and was never a contender. Premus likes heavy going. Sinner Simon worked his way to the leadtrs while rounding the far turn, caught Soothsayer at-the eighth post and the pair fought it out to the end, Sinner Simon getting up in the last ten yards. Soothsayer was off in his stride and outran his field for tbe first quarter, but tired when the pinch came. Harding had no mishaps. He was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Little Boy. Uledi lay along with Talpa all the way and outgamed her when the pinch came in the final sixteenth. He lost ground by going wide at the turn into the stretch. Talpa showed much speed and was well ridden by Helgesen, took the short route and saved ground at all the turns. Glenwood was crowded back when rounding the far turn, but came again at the end. Two Lick is a quick breaker and showed tin most spaed all the vay, but was hustled along in the last furlong and was doing her best to stall off Rheta. The latter finished very gamely when it came to a drive and was gaininar on the winner at the end. Belle Mahone ran on the outside of the leaders all the way and Hall was of but little help to her when it came to a drive. First Attempt was llatfooted when the barrier went up and closed a big gap in the first sixteenth, but tired in the last eighth. Louise Collier, as usual, quit when the real racing came. The horse finished strongly and outgamed Silk Cord when it came to v . i 1 a drive and Castro outrode Lindsey at the end. Silk Cord was made too much use of in chasing Autumn Leaves. Adelante was outrun in the first half and finished fast, but swerved at the sixteenth post and crowded Autumn Leaves and Drummond back. Flop was cut off at the first turn.
