Silver Twist, which was interfered with when Marybander fell, made up much ground and was wearing the winner down in the last furlong. R. B. Sack went well throughout, but failed to stay in the final drive. Howard Gratz was badly interfered with when the accident happened above noted. Zealotry held on better than usual. Sailmaker was closing up strongly and probably wants a longer route. Scratched 36789 Royal Simmons. 112 : 35767 Meddling Mary, 109. The entry, show, ont. Merry Acrobat skillfully ridden and showing sudden and startling improvement, ranged alongside the loaders when on the level stretch and outstayed them in a terrific drive. River Pirate, which stumbled at the start closed a big gap and finished with a rush. Dick Welles forced the pace from the start and showed the most early speed of his field, appeared like a winner when a furlong out, but suffered from a bungling and incaDable finish. Wild Thyme was closing up strongly. Molly Brant failed to stay after a hard, early effort. Fire Eater, nearly left and poorly ridden, closed a big gap and finished like a whirl-1 wind.
