T. went around the leaders without much effjrt in ths first sixteenth and came away when his rider was ready and had considerable in reserve at the end. Moderator was off well in motion and showed early speed, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall oil Floret. The lattar lost ground by coming wide into the homsstretch. Nic Lontrworth came with a rush in the stretch run and was gaining at tho end. Bargee was on tho outside all the way and his rider was not of much help to him when the pinch came.
