NOTES OF THE XUBf. W. C. Whitney has purchased in England Lady Min, brown mare, foaled 1897, by Ladas Lady MintiDg, by Minting, her dam Virginia Shore, by John Davis ; and Bambling Katie, bay mare, foaled 1897, by Hampton Barmaid, by Galliard, her dam Loch Garry, by Blair Athol. The stabling accommodations at Fort Erie will be incroased by 250 stalls for next seasons racing. Mr. B. A. Waite, the noted architect, has completed plans for the new club house, and many other improvements will be nada for next year. Mr. E. S. Gardner, Avondale Stud, Saundersville, Tenn., has purchased the chestnut colt King Hanover, three years old, by Hanover Lady Agnes Cara Mia, by St. Blaise, her dam Carita, by III Used, and will place him in the stud. William Qerst, Nashville, Tenn., has purchased from Mrs. E. L. Israel, Thorndale Stud, the brown yearling filly by Lamplighter Dahabiah, by Kingfisher, and the yearling bay colt by George Kinney Mainsail, by The Chevalier. The suspension of Mose Goldblatt, inflicted at Buffalo, has been revoked by The Jockey Club and he is again in good standing. J. OL., Chicago. Vincitor was 6 to 5 to show.
