The latter showed mnch speed, but tired a trifle in the last fifty yards. Dodona tired rapidly in the last eighth. Onr Bessie appears to be of little present account. Buchanan placed The Lady while going down the backstretch, where she would have gone to the front. He did not call on her until turning for home, where she responded gamely, but could not concede the weight to the winner. 8carlet Lily tired rapidly when the pinch came. The latter appeared the winner when a furlong out, but tired just a shade in the closing strides. Linguist swuDg a little wide when turning for home, but when ooce straightened closed np ground fast and finished strongly under a vigorous ride.
