Facade came with a rush in the last furlong, caught Princas3 Juhen tiring in the stretch run and got up in the last stride. The latter showed the most early spaed and raced St. Bluff to defeat in the first half. St. Bluff did his best throughout. Lord Crimson was off well in motion and made up ground steadily. Baker Waters was under a drive all through the last furlong to stall off Melbourne Eclipse and Special Tax and finished very gamely under a drive. Melbourne Eclipse saved ground at the turn into the homestretch, made up a lot of ground in the stretch run and was wearing the winner down at the end. Special Tax was on the outside of the leaders all the way and tired in the last sixteenth. Music Man showed the most speed for the first six furlongs, but tired. Miss Eon can do better. Kunja was in close quarters all the way. Tom Gilmore Bhowed early speed, but quit badly. Obstinate Simons race was much below his true form. Versifier showed speed throughout, but weakened in the last couple of strides and was used up in the narly stages in chasing Gloria Mundi. The latter was off running and showed early speed but tired.
