Went to post at 2:15. At post 15 minutes. Start bad. Won easily; second driving. 5 Snark led throughout and was best, was going away at the end and is an improved horse. True Blue, away running, was interfered with on the far turn, but ran a fast middle half and was a good horse at the finish. Maiden, away poorly, made up many lengths on the leaders.and then tired at the end. Rappen-ecker, which got off very badly, closed a big gap and finished strongly. Musidora was in close quarters through the entire stretch and very badly handled. Alack, crossed at the start, lost many lengths and made up ground in the stretch and ran a good race. Won driving; second handily. Harrison, from a good start, went to the front on the backstretch and stuck to his work gamely, but was lucky to beat Gallant Smith. The latter got away very badly and closed a tremendous gap and was running faster than the winner at the finish under a poor ride. Watkins Overton went well ruder bad handling, showed plenty of speed and held on well. Dark Planet closed up ground in the stretch. Cruachan ran as if short. Turnpikes chances were destroyed on the first turn. Franklyn C. was cut down and pulled up when having an apparently good chance. Harrison, show, evens. Gallant Smith, show, 7 to 5. The latter was crowded in the last furlong by the winner and at the weights waB much the best. He trailed to the stretch and came through next to the rail and had The Musketteer beaten when he was put against the fence. Belvino, wearing blinkers, ran a willing race and to his best form. Clorita ran gamely under a hard drive through the last half and was gradually, wearing the leaders down at the end. Anak was close up at the finish and can win a cheap race. Bonnibert, away badly and interfered with, worked a rough passage and favors soft going. Flying Jib ran a bad race. Circus had no chance with his start and bad rider. Lord Badge was nearly left. Rose-tint tired from chasing the winner and was swerving under punishment at the end. Florham Queen-was outrun in the early stages, but closed up very strongly in the stretch and runs like a stayer. Futurita closed a big gap and finishpd with a rush, but was poorly ridden. Geisha Girl went a good five furlongs. Conspicuous failed to stay and also lacked his usual speed.
