Delia Ostrand stood a long stretch drive with gameness, but tired in the closing strides. Howendobler had enough when a sixteenth from home. Haydon ran well for a half mile. She made up ground very fast in the last quarter and finished resolutely. Henry of Traetamare tired in the last sixteenth struggle. Colonol Ballantyne made up ground fast in the run for home and finished strongly. Prince of Africa showed improvement and bears watching from now on. Vulcain ran his usual bad race. Has Gift showed much speed, but tired fast in the last sixteenth struggle. Simoon failed to break with tho field when the barrier went up. and had no chance by the time he had gotten into his stride.
