Ohnet had a big pull in the weights, was under a stout pull early and easily went to the front when called on. Gallagher .took thints i easily to the last quarter and was compelled to ride Ohnet out when Gould came again in the last sixteenth. The latter is a good performer over the sticks and is speedy and stood a long stretch drive gamely. Victor closed a big gap. Blacksmith also closed a lot of ground, but weakened under his weight. Lavator could not handle the weight and tired badly, but was a contender to the last quarter. It was a poor race for Silver Twist. The bridle alipped on Historian. Toscan was the best class horse in the race and was in going to his liking. He handled his weight well and forced the pace all the way, but was under pressure at the end to stall off Maiden. The latter would have been a keen contender with a better rider. Hurley was of little help to him. Meistersinger finished gamely under a hard ride and was gaining at the end. Barkelmore ran a fair race. Right and True, off poorly, made up a big gap, but tired at the end. Brandy Smash was not up to a race. Hackonsack closed a big gap and finished stronglj under a hard drive. Gates, off poorly, was running on at the end. Ladr Sarah weakened badly and did not seem to like the going.
