Owners who patronised the Chicago racing field this year garnered the enticing total of 86,305, an advance oyer the figures of 1901 and one that will probably be much increased in 1903. Hildreths powerful stable captured a sum sufficient to make him easily the leader of the winning owners, and bnt for selling most of his horseB iis probable that his winnings for the year would have put him close up to the leading half dozen of the whole country.
