LOCAL TURF GOSSIP. Harry White, assistant secretary of the Crescent City Jockey Club, was kept busy duriDg the afternoon looking after the welfare of the horsemen who are intending to shiD on the Crescent City special, which is scheduled to leave today at 2 p. m. From present arrangements the train will consist of ten palace horse cars, two day coaches, a sleeping car and one baggage coach, and is due to arrive in New Orleans early Sunday morning. C. 2. Lawrence Young, president of the Washington Park Jockey Club, and John Kelsey, associate judge at Worth, were among the visitors at Lakeside yesterday.
