Enos followed the pacemaker closely with his mount, hooked up with Spargnr at the sixteenth post and in a driving finish outrode him to the wire. Nannie J., off well in motion, had no mishaps and ran her race. Queen of Beauty lasted just long enough to stall off Maggie Youngs determined rush. Nannie J. was the victim of a bad ride. Maria Bolton began slowly, but raced into a good position while going around the far turn and, wearing down Hi Kollar near the final eighth post, won with something in reserve. Lathrop caught Hi Kollar tiring and easily passed him in the final sixteenth struggle. Hi Kollar ran in improved form. Wiggins ran well for three furlongs. Scratched-367383Ada Russell, 117. Solver was apparently best and was well handled. Mountain waited on the leaders in the first part of the race, moved up while going around the stretch turn and, wearing down Mabel Hurst in the final sixteenth came away, winning with plenty to spare. Mabel Hurst ran a good Tace, but tired when the pinch came. Budget of Fun was used up chasing the pacemaker. The others were always outrun. Mountain was substituted for McCann on Solver by order of the judges. Scratched 36739Liska, 110. Mabel Hurst, show, ont. Rogers took her to the front early, picked the best going, came down the center of the track in the stretch run and won going away. Ravensbury did his best, but was anchored by the weight and Cunningham kept him along nsxt to the rail, where the going was deepest, the entire way.
