Gannon brought Fading Light along on the outside, finished fast, caught Sweet Nell and Candareen tiring and , was going away in the last few strides. The winner bumped into Candareen at the sixteenth post and swerved over in front of Sweet Nell at the finish. Sweet Nell showed a lot of speed, but Boiesen rode a weak finish. Gannon would have won easily with her. Candareen is in good form, ran a good race and will do to remember. Woodmont Belle showed speed. Fair Lass quit in the stretch after looming up on the turn. Paul Crey ton went around the leaders at the far turn and opened up a winning gap, but was tiring at the end and driving to the limit to stall off Tillo. The latter got into a jam at the start and was crowded out of it, but closed a big gap and was wearing Paul Creyton down at the end. Playlike made up ground and outgamed The Messenger when it came to a drive. The latter ran well throughout. The Caxton weakened after being a contender for the first half. Chorus Boy tired. He shot across his field at the start and was responsible for the crowding. Parnassus quit as if short. Macie Maree had to be pulled up at the start to keep from going down. Nettie Regent was bumped into at the start and closed a big gap in the first quarter, but was given a listless ride afterward. Gin Spray made up a lot of ground and was off all tangled up. Barrack saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and outgamed Jessie Jarboe when it came to a drive. The latter showed the most early speed. Hoar had her under restraint on the backstretch, but she tired in the final drive. Adelante was pinched off at the turn into the homestretch, but finished well. Major Mansir. show, out. The saddle on Welcome Light slipped back while rounding the far turn and Winslett eased her rip. Pirate showed early speed, but was badly shut off at the turn into the homestretch.
