John Coulter was off well in motion and opened up a winning gap before the others got to going, but was tiring at tho end and doing his best to stall off Aurie B. The latter got in a jam at the start"and was knocked out of her stride, then closed a big gap and finished fast under a weak ride. Computation tired as if short and finished in tho lumpy going on the inside. There was a lot of crowding and interference at the start. Applo Bloom was cut r ff and Bonner had to pull up to keep from going down She closod a big gap. This one is worth remembering and is sure to win. John Coulter, show, 2 to 1. Won driving and all out; second easily. Andes just managed to get up in the last stride under a weak finish. He was off running, but Pollak took him back and almost waited too long. Boundlee saved ground all the way and was under a drive all through the last quarter. Benmora showed early speed and outgamed Dr. Scharff in the stretch run. Planudes wore Governor Say res down while rounding the far turn and came away in tho last sixteenth, but had to.be shaken up to outrun The Stewardess. Tho latter saved ground at overy turn and outgamed Governor Sayres when it came to a drive. Governor Sayres showed a groat turn of speed, but tired as if short in the stretch run. Miss Shanley was carried so fast in the first half that she tired and quit. Scratched Melleda, 100. Overweights Planude. 2 pounds. Planudes, show, out. The Stewardess, show, 4 to 1. She showed groat speed and ran an excellent race. Farmor Jim was under restraint tho first three furlongs, but was bumped into by the winner a couple of times in tho stretch run, which affected his chances. Telamon was . off running, opened up. a gap on his field before the others got going and displayed the" most spoed all tho way, but was hustled along at the end to stall off Jerry Bunt. The latter was crowded back at the start, but closed a hi gap and finished fast. Grantor came wide into the homestretch and was driving hard all of tho last furlons. Lady Alberta had no mishaps. The Black Scot was on the outside all the way. He showed sped for a half and tired as if short. Glennellie and Lord Neville both anit. Chickadee showed a lot of early speed and easily raced Simoon into submission in the first mile, but was forced to keep driving to the limit at tho end to stall off Satin Coat. The latter was very sore when going to the post. He ran a good race, closed a big gap in the last half and -was wearing the winner down at the finish. Pay the -Fiddler was outrun in the first part of the race and went to the extreme outside while rounding the far turn, but finished fast and outgamed Simoon in the final drive. Georgia Gardner was cut off whilo roundiDg the far turn. Mosketo ran a poor race and can do much better. Scratched 36915 Potheen, 1C6; 36899 Swordsman, 105; 36913 Lou Woods, 96.
