Jolo began slowly, but closed up while going around the far turn and, wearing down Nannie J. in the last sixteenth, passed her in the final strides. Nannie J., off flying, showed a good turn of speed, but could not withstand the winners rush. Colonel Zack ran a fair race. The others had no chance from where they got off. Brandy Smash had a rough journey, but closed up fast when straightened out in the stretch run. Hi Kollar ran his race. Pearl Mendel made her usual early four-flush. The others were always outran. Fucino ran in improved form, but coald give the winner no argument. Margaret Hoffman closed up strongly after being outrun in the first part of the race. Marcy quit suddenly at the first turn, nearly unseating his rider and was thrown out of the race. Pat Garrett ran away two and a half miles after the race. Scratched 36927 Tom Middleton, 105.
