NOTES OF THE TURF. John W. Kelsey, assistant secretary of the Washington Park Club, arrived at New Orleans from Chicago last Sunday. Mr. Kelsey is making a trip among tho racing and brooding centers in the interest of the Washington Park stakes. R. C. F. Chicago. Bon Froet won one race in 1902 and eleven times in 1901. Lamplighter was foaled in 1889. He was a fine race horse and when at his best considered the best handicap horse in this country. On Now Years day Rufus Bush sold to C. E Burnett the chestnut gelding Crescent City, which has just entered his four-year age. Crescent City brought at private sale 00. Subscriber, St. Louis. When a two-year-old Chant belonged to Leigh and Rose. Clifford was ridden by Jerry .Chorn when he won tho Club Members Handicap in 1895. Ben, Chicago.
