Sweet Nell was always close up, wore down the loaders in the stretch run, finished fast and ontgamed Brush By when it came to a drive. The latter came wide into the homestretch, tired when called on and wne under a hard drive all of the last furlong. Mistie showed thi most early speed, but tired. Siege saved ground at the turn into the homestretch and seemed like the winner at the farlong post, but tired under pressure. Sweet Nell, show, 6 to 5. Brush By, show, 2 to 5. Mistie, show, 7 to 1. Charles Ramsey drew away in the final furlong after having shown the most speed and raced Midnight Chimes to defeat in the first half. Censor was bumped into and crowded back at the start, then closed a big gap and finished very fast. Ecome was pulled tap at the start and Hall never made a move on him until rounding the far turn, then made up a lot of ground and was running past horses at the finish. Midnight Chimes was eased up in the last furlong. So was Montanic. Russeilton finished fast. Corrected weights Ecome, 140. Charles Ramsey, show, evens. Censor, show. 4 to 1. Ecome, show, 2 to 1. The Stewardess ran as if she outclassed her field and showed the most speed throughout, raced Insolence and Thane to subjection in the first half and stood off a challenge from Eliza Dillon in the stretch run. The latter was coming fast and wearing The Stewardess down and would have won in a few more strides. Thane tired and quit under pressure. The latter finished strongly and got second place in the last stride. Witfnll ran an excellent race, but tired in the deciding drive. Ray sulked and would not try. Ben Chance ran his race. Uranium broke from tho outside and cut the corner at the turn into the homestretch and finished fast. He caught Ahumada tiring in the last sixteenth and outgamed him in the final drive. Ahnmada displayed a lot of early spee3, but came wide into tho homestretch Michaels let go his head when he went to a drive and the colt swerved over to the inside. This was a bad looking ride, Glennevis was coming fast and was wearing the leaders down. Pirate was used up in chasing Ahumada and tired. Scratched 36953 Daddy Bender, 112; 36898 Flamboyant, 107. Redfern put up a great finish on Cogswell and outrode Fuller when it came to a drive. Cogswell came wide into the homestretch and only got up in the last stride. Nettie Regent showed the most early speed and raced The Messenger to defeat in the first half. The first two swerved to tho inside in the last twenty yards. The Messenger was tiring badly at the end.
