Jockey Frank Landry, if he gets out of the Bel-vino scrape at New Orleans with a whole skin, will ride for Gorman and Bauer in the west this year. Landry will receive 00 per month. Green B. Morris says that he has never had at this time of the year a better two-year-old than his Star Ruby colt, Precious Stone, which has just won two fine races in California. It is said that owing to the small number of nom-inations the Coney Island Jockey Club may decide to drop the Great Filly Stakes from its list this year. Jockey Lindsey arrived Monday at New Orleans from Latonia. He can do 97 ponnds, and will rHe for J. J. MacKessey the rest of the meeting. G. C.
