The latter, away poorly and interfered with, went around the field at the stretch turn and finished fast. Karabel drew clear of the others in the last sixteenth and was an easy third. Alaria ran well under rongh treatment. Stella Perkins got away badly and showed early speed and then fell away. Seize, nearly left, raced into prpminence in the first half and tired. Irma A. quit in the stretch, but went a fast half. Scratched 3ifc02 Malaspina, 111 ; S6853 Skip Me, 110; 36970 Tommy Knight, 99. Overweights Grey Fox, 1 pound. Annie Marie secured a lucky start and, with clear sailing, led throughout and scored a lucky victory. Samar was crowded early and compelled to go wide on the turn, but finished with a rush and was probably best today. Selected ran well and was lucky throughout. Planet, away badly and poorly ridden, is evidently another Morris good one, closed a great gap and finished like a whirlwind. Floriana Bell ran in improved form. Dr Rowell was closing up at the end. Canonicua, nearly left and carried hopelessly wide, was eased up in the last furlong. He looks like a good one. Overweights Hoceo, 2 pounds. Annie Marie, show, 4 to 5. Samar, show. 3 to 5. M. secured a lucky start, showed the most speed throughout and"stood a long stretch drive gamely, winning with something left. Mexicana moved up like a flash on the stretch turn and was wearing the winner down at the end. Young Morello went unexpectedly well and is due when in the right company. Doreen got away slowly and improved her position throughout. Naulahka tired badly in the last quarter. Fort Wayne got away poorly and was raced into prominence when a furlong ont and then eased up. Won driving: second easily. Grafter was well ridden and reserved to the stretch, where hemade good in impreesive fashion and was best. Illowaho waited on the pacemaker hard held for six furlongs, taking the load in the stretch and was only outstayed by the winner after a long driving finish. Bill Massie was interfered with when Forest King fell at the start and his chances practically destroyed, but closed up a big gap. Ultruda failed to stay and Diderot tired right at the end after he had loomed up dangerously when a furlong out. Won handily; second driving, Barklyite moved up fast from a rearward position while on the backstretch and indulged the pacemaker to the stretch, where he drew to the front without much effort. Vohicer, away slowly, closed a big gap in the last half under a bad ride. Father Wentker got away in his stride and made most of this advantage, sustaining his speed unexpectedly well. Ned Dennis was Bhut off at the half and closed up fast in the last quarter. Fairbury ran well and is improving. Lode Star was lucky on th 3 first turn, stole a long and winning lead and after interfering with the contender on the stretch turn, came away fast and just lasted out. Searcher, lightly weighted and in spite of a ridiculously slow, early pace, laid far out of it under restraint and was unequal to outsprinting the win- 1 ner in the stretch. He came through next to the inner rail after an early effort to come on the outside, which Lode Star prevented and was easily the best. Artilla improved suddenly and finished out the last quarter with her usual burst of speed. El Rio Shannon tired in the stretch. Hermencia ran a bad race and seems to be in noor form.
