Showman camo with a rush in the stretch, caught Glennevis tiring and got up in tho last twenty yards. Haack kept him on the outside all the way. Glennevis was woll ridden and had no mishaps, but tired when it came to a drive. My Surprise showed early speed, but was used up in chasing Glennevis. Safeguard swerved over into the deep going in the stretch run and carried Doublo O over with him. Frank Rice ran a surprisingly bad race. Scratched 37149 Lord Touchwood, 109. . . - . ,.:... .... El Rey was off well in motion and, showing much early speed, raced Frank Kenney into subjection in the first six furlongs and came away with a rush in the stretch. Peat finishod fast in the lumpy eoing and ontgamed -Frank Kenney when it camo to a drive. The latter had no mishaps, boat the barrier and Fuller kept him in the good going all tho way. John Bnll was crowded back at the start. Denny Duffy ran a fair race and is worth remembering. Alfred C. quit badly. El Rey, show, 7 to 5. Paat, show, 4 to 5. Ed L. was crowded back at the turn into the homestretch, but camo again when Etraightened out. Ailyar could not get through in the first quarter, but showed no great speed and was never dangerous. Hariris came with a ruh in the Inst fnrlong and got up in the last stride after haviusr begun slowly and closed a big Nitrate beat the barrier, but lost his advantage by going wide at the first turn. He took command .D at the turn into tho homestretch, but tired in the last fifty yards. Rankin closed a big gap and, finishing very fast, caught St. Tammany tiring. The latter finished m the lumpy going. Maltster ran a good six furlongs. Major Mansir was going well at the end. Bard of Avon ran poorly. Overweights Maltster, li pounds. , Hargis, show, 1 to 2. Wealth got away running, showed much early speed and Buchanan picked his going. St. Cuthbert showed speed, but tired as if short and the race should improve him. Harry New ran well to the stretch, but tired when pnt to a hard drive. Carat was cut off and interfered with several times in the first half, but came very fast in the stretch run and catching Mosketo and Frank M. tiring came away at the end. Frank M. was on the extreme outside all the way and was used up in racing Dutch Carter into submission in the first half, causing him to tire when the deciding drive came. Mosketo saved much ground at the turn into the homestretch and finished in the lumpy going.
