Lord Frazer showed the most speed throughout, held his field safe at all stages and won with plenty in. reserve. Suave met with interference on the far turn, but came again and finished fast. Charlo, will bear watching, ran a good race, but tired in the final sixteenth and Wyola was fast overhauling him. The latter closed a big gap. The Phantom retired early.
