. ! WORTHS STAKE OFFERING. Secretary Ed Jasper, of the Worth Jockey Club, has prepared a very taking stake program for the Worth spring meeting, full particulars being set forth in the advertising department of this issue of Daily Racing Foem. They are all on the added money system and so richly endowed that they must necessarily prove important factors in alluring the owners of good horses to Chicago. They constitute an important addition to the stake list of the Chicago field, Worth having presented no closed list of stakes last spring. The Worth Handicap has ,000 added and so has the Powers Handicap. The Montgomery Handicap at Memphis with its ,500 added is easily the richest handicap of the southern field and is greatly coveted by all western and southern owners. It has 103 entries this year. Being more valuable these two Worth events should attract even greater " entry lists and are bound to be highly regarded by local followers of the turf, as well as by owners at t large. As a racing association takes rank largely through the number and value of its stakes it must be said that the Worth Jockey Club has done very well in its offerings so far and will reap its due reward at the gate. The stakes advertised today are commended to aiio whets and DaOjY it AciNGToKM will furnish entry blanks to all who may apply.
