Mary Zena easily disposed of The Conqueror in the first part of the race and, coming fast in the stretch, won easing up. Transylvania came fast in the stretch run. By George was quitting badly at. the finish after showing early speed. Title ran a good race after getting much the worse of the start. Nannie J. ran as if she found the distance too far. Ada Russell was well meant today and no mistakes were made. She came along next to the rail into the stretch run and lasted lonjr enough to win. Boittie ran in improved form. Quincy. off none too well, made uponuch ground to the stretch bend. Steele made a great show of whipping his mount in tho run home, but kept watching the two horses in front of him and to the inside instead of going on about his business. Dr. Carr can do better. Figurante quit in the final eighth. Postillion showed a flash of speed. Scratched 14271 St. Augustine, 118. Overweights Ada Russell, 1 pound; Quincy, 1; Dr. Carr, 5. Ada Russell, show, 1 to 2. Walker had a nap on Waiter up to final eighth, where he woke up and commenced riding his mount and closed up with a rush birt could not get up in time. Hi Kollar ran a good race and hung on gamely.
