Tower of Candles is in rare form, waited on the pacemaker to the far turn where she drew up and passed her field and finished fast through the last quarter. Huachuca received a lethargic weak ride, but finished fast through the last quarter. Sylvia Talbot forced a fast pace for the first half, but under a weak incapable ride lost second place. Lady Kent finished very fast. Barklyite tired at the end after appearing a strong contender for third place when a furlong out. Corrected weights Sylvia. Talbot, 94. Tower of Candles, show, 1 to 3. He beat the barrier but was taken back and indulged the pacemakers for six furlongs, forging to the front in the stretch without much urging. Nigrette, badly ridden and collided with at the start, was in a hopeless .pocket to the far turn and repeatedly pulling up, but closed up fast on the extreme outside in the stretch. Artilla ran as if very good, moved up prematurely on the backstretch and finished with her usual sensational stretch rush. Autolight ran poorly and failed to come on in the last quarter. Ed Adack found his speed today and ran well for over six furlongs. Hermencia show, 1 to 4. Nigrette, show, 1 to 4. Artilla, show, 3 to 2. Autolight, show, 1 to 3. i
