Embarrassment saved ground at the turn into the homestretch, but tired when called on. Bondage closed a big gap. Sleepy Head showed early speed, but quit after going a half. Arachne ran under restraint for the first five furlongs, but Gannon made his run a bit too soon and Arachne was tiring at the end and just managed to last long enough to stall off a challenge from, Frank M. and OHagen. The finish was very close. Frank M. came to the outside at the turn into the homestretch and was going the fastest of the first three at the end. OHagen ran well, but tired when called on near the finish. Rough Rider trailed along in the rear all the way. He will do better some other time. So will Jena. The Stewardess displayed the most speed all the way, went to the front while rounding the first turn and opened up a winning gap in the run down the backstretch, but was tiring at the end and just managed to last long enough to stall off a challenge from Ermack. The latter ran a good race, but Booker was of little help to her when it came to a drive and Ermack finished on her own courage alone. Leflare closed a big gap after getting caught in a jam at the first turn and was knocked out of it. Inspector Shea tired after racing up to the leaders. Lady Chorister was given an easy ride.
