Preetorius ran in improved form, was well ridden and had no mishaps. Chanterelle was crowded back at the start but took the short route and saved ground all the way. Bart Howe ran well, but tired when called on. Miss Hume was off well in motion and showed the most early speed but tired badly in the last furlong. Choice also showed early speed.
